Is DENTOMO GDPR and HIPAA compliant?

Yes, the patient's privacy is protected as DENTOMO complies with the American Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In addition, DENTOMO is in the process of obtaining CE certification for Medical Device Type 2. DENTOMO's artificial intelligence system has been trained with fully anonymized CBCT images of more than 2,000 patients and is waiting to receive anonymized images of 4,000 more patients.

How does DENTOMO integrate with existing PACS?

DENTOMO is PACS agnostics and works with DICOM, HL7 and APIs. DENTOMO offers a simple integration for all PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), since its performance is based on uploading images to the system, where they are completely anonymized. Who uses DENTOMO?

Currently, DENTOMO covers the prevalent medical conditions in dental clinics. In a second phase, the tool will be able to extend the analysis to the detection of bone pathologies, extending its use to Traumatology, Rheumatology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery consultations in hospitals and outpatient imaging canters.

Do I need specific hardware to run DENTOMO solutions?

No specific hardware or additional hardware is required. In addition, integration is simple and fast.

What anomalies can the DENTOMO IA detect?

Currently, the automatic image classification software can detect and identify properly in a CBCT image 14 anomalies, including 5 diseases (caries, abrasion, root remains, tooth dystopia and impacted teeth) and 9 treatments (crown, fill, pont, implant, braces, reteiner, veneer, post, and part-filling). In a second round, the tool will be able to extend the analysis to the detection of bone pathologies.

How does DENTOMO analyze CBCT images?

DENTOMO's artificial intelligence software is based on deep convolutional neural networks or CNN. These are artificial networks whose perceptual fields act very similar to the neurons of the primary visual cortex of a biological brain, being able to detect automatically the different dental pathologies or the absence of pieces. MMG uses a combination of already designed and self-created architectures.
